2017-11-20 in november 2017, the project of “underground wwtp technology-based design and development”, initiated by cweg’s r&d department, was officially approved and funded by the “2017 capital improvement plan” for the construction of “city of design” in beijing.
it was another government-approved scientific research project of cweg since its “key technology research and demonstration project of underground wwtp upgrading” subject got approved by the “patent exploitation project of tongzhou district” in july 2017, indicating that cweg’s technical strength, product quality and service level were recognized by the beijing municipal government departments.
taking typical underground wwtp as the object of study, the project aims to solve problems occurred in the design, construction, upgrading and operation of underground wwtp, and fills the gap in design optimization, technology selection and project model, thus broadening the underground wwtp’s scope of application. currently the project’s research results have been successfully applied in multiple underground wwtps at home and abroad, for enhancing the underground wwtp’s core competitiveness in eco-friendliness, land intensiveness and resource utilization.
the project approval goes through a series of strict steps (including project application, expert review and on-site inspection) carried out by the culture and technology development office of the beijing municipal science and technology commission, and imposes stringent requirements on the project declarant’s technical level, intellectual property rights, financial data, sales revenue, project innovativeness, proof of economic benefits, honors and qualifications, user instructions, test report and user feedback. the shortlisted enterprises are all industry leaders with strong r&d strength and market development ability. the fact that cweg’s project gets approved shows the government departments’ recognition of its r&d and innovation capabilities, and its comprehensive strength in underground wwtp.
